SURFER TOTE BAG
Growing up in Oceanside, NY, on Long Island, surfing was part of a colossal consciousness, thanks to the Beach Boys and beyond. Whether you were riding the waves or just watching, you could feel the force of untamed movement and grace in the same breath. In my mom, Selma's painting, this surfer dude is "shooting the curl," a popular longboard expression from the '60s, in a tunnel of organized chaos, manifesting the faith of inner knowing that he will make it through to the other side.
