SERENITY
As 2021 ended, I thought I would paint serenity, since we could all use a dose of it. Inspired by the Hindu saying, "When all the walls around you are crumbling, you can see beyond them for the first time," I felt compelled to instill a deeper sense of wonder and serenity in my soul. I worked on this painting daily for most of December, fueled by an unspoken intimacy with light, and a belief that serenity is liberty in tranquility.
